Chapter 13
Ash slowly opened his eye. A small smile rested on his lips as he thought of the horror that had crossed Deana’s face in the shower. As much pain as he was in, it had faded the minute she’d knelt on the floor before him.
The pain had been long forgotten the second his dick had slipped between Deana Dawson’s sweet lips.
He’d never seen anything as beautiful as his cock disappearing into her lush mouth.
His shaft stirred beneath the covers with him just remembering their shower together.
His smile faded at the thought of the pain rushing back for him the second he’d orgasmed.
It had slammed into him, taking his breath away. He remembered his legs growing weak and him falling back against the tile wall.
It was all worth it.
What he had said was true.
Deana had given him the best medicine that no doctor could prescribe.
Jesus, that woman’s mouth was dangerous.
She had fussed over him and marched him directly to bed. She’d made him take another pain pill and tucked him in.
He didn’t even get to say two words before finding himself underneath the covers.
Speaking of Deana, where the hell was she?
Peeking at the alarm clock on his nightstand, he froze.
He’d slept a good long while.
He stared over at the window, and it appeared as if the sun was setting.
Next to the clock was his pain pill bottle and a glass of water.
Reaching for them, he took one pill and downed it with some water.
“Welcome back to the land of the living,” Deana’s southern drawl caught his attention.
He glanced at the door. She stood there with a small smile and a plate of food in her hand.
What really caught his attention was the fact she was wearing one of his CPD t-shirts. Her bare legs peeked out from the hem that stopped near her knees. Her red hair was now contained in two braids, giving her a more youthful appearance. Her face was void of any makeup, and he honestly preferred her au naturel.
She had a natural beauty to her, and it made him even more attracted to her.
“Hey there yourself,” he greeted her. He made to sit up but grimaced from the pain in his ribs.
“Be careful.” She rushed across the room. She set the plate down on the table and moved to help him.
“I got it,” he muttered. There was no way she’d be able to lift him up without hurting herself. He struggled but was finally able to sit up and rest back against the headboard. “What have you got there?”
“I hope you don’t mind me going through the kitchen,” she began shyly.
He peered at her through his one decent eye. She looked good wearing his t-shirt, walking through his house. He would have loved to see her snooping through the kitchen and cooking in his shirt. Just the thought of her cooking for him had his heart racing.
“No, not at all. Make yourself comfortable,” he murmured.
“Well, since you were sleeping so soundly, I made us some breakfast.” She chuckled.
